Future Generations Cross-school collaboration Brief – Group 6

In this project we were asked to work collaboratively to create a pitch for a crowdfunded project. Crowdfunding has changed how we can realise creative projects. One crowdfunding site, kickstarter www.kickstarter.com, has successfully funded 99,929 creative projects since it began in 2009, therefore making it a formidable force across art, design, craft & technology.

In our collaborative teams we will brainstorms ideas regarding the themes of Future Generations, identifying our own values and our skill set is important to ensure we have a team well equipped to meet the challenge both creatively, and technically.

This week we will also be creating group manifestoes to establish the shared values which drive our project. Over the next two weeks we are asked to develop our concept into a short presentation film to pitch our kickstarter idea, ideally ready to seek potential backers.

Does our idea change, improve, or enhance our world? How can I best use the skills of our team. I will need a range of discipline input, from film editing to illustrating (yes, because I don’t have a clue), model making, prototyping, researching, to on screen dynamism.
